Subject: RE: Fwd: [ebxml-dev] Gartner and ebXML

Vijay,

It was not my intent to offend you in any way. If my words have offended
you, I sincerely apologize.

My comments were meant to inform you that there are numerous, successful
implementations of ebXML's Message Service across the globe. I was simply
suggesting that the problem you encountered may have been vendor related.

Again, please accept my apology.

Sincerely,

Dick Brooks

From the context I'm not sure whose comments Mr. Sing found offensive, but
I'll go ahead and apologize for mine in case anyone took offense. My
comment was a bit flippant, but certainly not intended to offend or inflame.

I may be kind of "old school" in this, but I have always felt that if a
standard satisfied a real need among its user community then it would sell
itself and not need any marketing (my apologies to Karl, Carol, and the
other good folks at OASIS!). Mr. Sing's counterpoint to marketing concerns
about Gartner was an appropriate reality check. If the needs of Mr. Sing
and others like him are met, then the Gartner's of the world will be taken
care of as well.

Regards,

Mike
